MPS Community Meeting Invitation: 7th October |
||
Hello,
I have recently taken over as Detective Superintendent responsible for Neighbourhood Policing in Tower Hamlets, and over the coming months and years I am looking forward to help build a police service that works for everyone.
My arrival coincides with the launch of A New Met for London 2, the Metropolitan Police Service’s strategy that will shape how we police London for the next two years. We are committed to listening to the thoughts and feelings of everyone in the Borough, and on 7th October are hosting a Tower Hamlets community conversation concerning all aspects of policing, focussing in particular on community crime-fighting.
Alongside BCU Commander Brittany Clarke we will be joined by MPS Deputy Commissioner Matt Jukes QPM, who will open the evening and take part in a Q&A session. They will be joined by a wide range of MPS officers and staff from local and central teams, and I would be delighted if you could join us.
Location: Tower Hamlets Town Hall, 160 Whitechapel Road, London, E1 1BJ (a 2 minute walk from Whitechapel station) Date: Tuesday 7th October 2025 Time: Guests are asked to arrive from 17:30 for a 18:30 start. A range of locally sourced food and drink will be provided.
If you are able to attend, please accept the invitation using this Eventbrite link. Please ensure you sign up as your name will need to be registered to gain entry. Please advise us when signing up if you have any dietary, mobility or access requirements.
Everyone will have the chance to ask questions during the event, as well as networking time with the team before and after. With this in mind, please pass on this invitation to as many Tower Hamlets residents and members of the community as you are able. I am really keen that everyone is represented and has the chance to interact with us in this important moment.
With thanks, Oliver
